"BKT" is a part of the well known 'SPG' or "Siyaram Poddar Group" of Companies in India, whose activities span manufacture of Textiles, Garments, Paper Boards and Tyres with an annual Group turnover in excess of US$ 250 Million.

BKT has always been a leading exporter of tyres from India commencing its export activitives since 1992.

HISTORY:-

BKT started its operations in 1988 in Aurangabad (Maharashtra) with 2/3-wheeler production initially. In the very next year BKT took a quantum jump in ushering 4 wheeler range - including passenger, jeep and light truck tyres. Thereafter, the range was expanded with regular additions to reach the current level of over a 100 sizes / patterns.

PLANT:-

The manufacturing facilities of the company are spread out over 40,000 sq meters of land in Aurangabad.

The plant is sophisticated, equipped with the latest machinery, to produce a quality product, comparable to the best in the industry.

MANPOWER:-

A team of professionals with long years of experience and the endurance to implement the rigorous systems adopted by the management throughout the plant - thereby reflecting largely in the excellent quality of the product produced here.

QUALITY:-

Various stringent quality checks at every stage of manufacture right from raw materials to final product ensures a consistently good product.

Leaving no chance - this product is further subjected to rigid indoor testing in line with the International Standards and these checks extended further to ensure the exacting quality standard - in anticipation of the brutal abuse of the product by the customer in the field.

RANGE:-

A broad range of products, being continuously expanded to provide a comprehensive selection of tyres for Agricultural, Industrial and Commercial applications.

It is no wonder then that over 70% of BKT's production is exported to several countries of the world with the bulk of it being sent to developed countries like Europe and U.S.A.

Future Plans:-

BKT has drawn up ambitious expansion plans with an investment of over US$ 20 million, to augment its capacity and increase the range of products,with its chosen areas of specialization in tyres for Commercial, Agricultural and Industrial applications.
