Joel Pohjanpalo continues to make his mark in Serie BKT and is awarded its MVP Trophy for the month of February. It’s a prize that confirms the player’s high quality: this, in fact, is his second award this season and the seventh of his career, also bearing in mind his experiences at Palermo FC and Venezia FC.

The MVP Trophy of the month, devised by BKT – leader company in the production of Off-Highway tires and Title Sponsor of the championship – and officially recognized by Lega B, was assigned to the Finnish attacker based on the votes given by the journalists of DAZN, official broadcaster of the championship, by Stats Perform and sports creator Edoardo Romero. Pohjanpalo received the award at the pre-match ceremony of Palermo–Juve Stabia on the 31st matchday of championship.

Opta data for the month of February confirm the player’s excellent performance levels, as he was the best scorer for the period with five goals. A remarkable statistic, and even more so if compared with the five major European championships, in which Pohjanpalo is positioned in third place for number of goals scored in the month.

His twenty goals, accompanied by five assists in just 29 appearances, further certify the decisive impact of the attacker, who is taking Palermo FC to the top end of the Serie BKT table.
