A MATCHDAY SPECIAL TRANSFORMS THE CITY OF MONZA INTO AN OPEN AIR EVENT
The challenge at the top of Serie BKT will be the point of arrival of an extensive programme of activities that BKT – leader company in the production of Off-Highway tires and Title Sponsor of Serie BKT since 2018 – has put in place for fans of the competition with the matchday special that will be stopping off in Monza after the appointments of Pescara and Padua.
On Saturday, March 21, from 12:00 to 13:30 in Piazza San Paolo, fans will find the iconic BKT branded mobile football bench and will have the chance to win one of the BKT footballs. On this special day, supporters and enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to meet two AC Monza legends: Patrizio Sala and Andrea D’Errico. Sala grew up playing for the team of his hometown before moving to the title-winning Torino side coached by Radice and joining the Italian national team that reached the 1978 World Cup semifinals in Argentina, alongside Maldera, Antognoni, and Causio. D’Errico, on the other hand, was the historic captain of the biancorossi, where he played for six seasons and took part in the club’s rise from Serie D, collecting 204 appearances and scoring 48 goals. Both club legends will be available for photos and autographs.
Activities will then continue in the afternoon at the BKT Fan Zone near the U-Power Stadium, at the entrance to the West Stand. Here, from 3.15pm, it will be possible to take souvenir selfies with the Nexus Cup, the trophy won by the Serie BKT champions. There will be no shortage of games and entertainment activities, such as table football, seat soccer and, once again, the distribution of official gadgets.
The day can also be experienced through the story told on the social channels of BKT Sport, Lega B and AC Monza thanks to the narrative by the content creator duo Two Twins. In fact, Monza will be the sixteenth stage of the BKT Fan&Fun Tour, the project in collaboration with the Chiamarsi Bomber community that tells the story of the city and the fans of Serie BKT.
The initiatives will also accompany fans in the stadium until the kick-off whistle. The stadium’s giant screen will show a special video about Fattore Campo, the BKT social responsibility initiative that rewards fans who are the most active in the BKT Premia competition with a project to upgrade sports areas. Images of the project in competition for the city of Monza will be shown, which involves the rebuilding of the Calisthenics area in the Villoresi/Boscherona Public Park. The match will then kick off after the handing over of the matchball at the centre spot using the iconic BKT Football Truck.
All the initiatives are conducted in collaboration with the Lega Nazionale Professionisti B and with Havas Play, and confirm BKT’s commitment to fans and its desire to make every moment of this season – the eighth as Title Sponsor of the competition – an engaging experience, both on and off the pitch.
