Giacomo Calò has been confirmed among the major protagonists of the Serie BKT season, winning the MVP Trophy of the month for the second time, this time for his performances during April. After the award gained in November 2025, the Frosinone FC midfielder has confirmed his excellent form, proving to also be decisive in the final part of the regular season.

This award is an enjoyable confirmation, for both the footballer and the Giallazzurro club, which sees one of its own players receive the monthly recognition for the third time.

The trophy devised by BKT – leader company in the production of Off-Highway tires and Title Sponsor of the championship – and officially recognized by Lega B, is the outcome of the combined votes of the journalists of DAZN, official broadcaster of the championship, Stats Perform and Tuttosport journalist Gianluca Scaduto. The Giallazzurro midfielder received his award in the Frosinone-Mantova pre-match ceremony on Serie BKT matchday 38.

Opta data for the month of April certify his excellent performances: Calò was the Frosinone player who was involved in the most goals in Serie BKT – 3, 2 of which goals scored and 1 assist – and was also the player who created the most chances for his teammates in the championship: 15, 6 of which from dead ball situations.

Thanks to this success, Calò becomes the only player– apart from Joel Pohjanpalo of Palermo – to have won the MVP title twice during the regular 2025-2026 season. His was a decisive contribution, representing one of the key factors in Frosinone’s promotion drive, at the end of an intense and hard-fought end-of-season that has kept the race to the top open until the very last day.
