A single city, two major sporting appointments: Cardiff was the stage for a weekend devised by BKT that was all about energy and entertainment.

On Saturday 16 May the Welsh capital hosted a special day that was able to combine two different worlds sharing the same passion: the BKT United Rugby Championship and the adrenaline-fuelled spectacle of Monster Jam.

The weekend opened on Friday 15 May at Cardiff Arms Park with the match between Cardiff Rugby and DHL Stormers, a key game at the top of the BKT United Rugby Championship. An eagerly awaited appointment that ignited fans’ enthusiasm and once again confirmed the strong bond between BKT, Title Sponsor of the URC since 2022, and major international rugby.

These players were also the protagonists the following day, Saturday 16 May, at the Principality Stadium. The ground hosted a stage of the Monster Jam International Tour, bringing all its spectacle and entertainment to the city. For the occasion, BKT enhanced fans’ experience in the pre-show with a special initiative devised to bring audience, athletes and drivers together even more.

With Pit & Grit, the Pit Party was transformed into a unique moment combining two different worlds in a single moment of sharing. In addition to the close encounter with the trucks and drivers of Monster Jam, fans also had the opportunity to meet Cardiff Rugby players Taine Basham, Corey Domachowski, Javan Sebastian and Keiron Assiratti and take home a souvenir selfie of the day together with the protagonists.

So BKT is consolidating its long collaboration with Monster Jam, of which it has been Official Tire Partner since 2014, in a weekend capable of bringing together disciplines that are very different yet united by the same passion.
