THE BKT HEARTBEAT CHALLENGE CONTINUES TO INFLAME THE PASSIONS OF BASKETBALL FANS
Following the extraordinary success of last season, BKT — a leading manufacturer of Off-Highway tires and Premium Partner of EuroLeague — resumes its collaboration with the competition to bring back the activity that has ignited basketball arenas across Europe.
HOW IT WORKS
In all arenas and for every game, the intensity and constancy of fans’ singing are measured throughout the entire match. This data is processed by AI to identify the club with the most passionate supporters in the EuroLeague. This long-debated question finally finds an official answer thanks to the BKT Heartbeat Challenge.
On a weekly basis, the @euroleague and @bkt.sport social channels showcase the “noisiest moment of the round,” featuring the highest sound peaks. A dedicated table also highlights the top three fanbases of each round based on their average intensity.
The major innovation for this edition is the prize for the noisiest fans of the season, awarded to the supporters who win the highest number of rounds. To keep the community engaged, a provisional leaderboard is published every two months on official social channels.
THE SUCCESS OF LAST YEAR
The initiative debuted last season, reaching its peak during the final in Berlin. The regular season’s most passionate fans were those of Partizan, the only ones to average 100 decibels. However, the absolute record was set during Round 27, when Fenerbahce fans reached 107 decibels following a decisive triple by Biberovic.
The BKT Heartbeat Challenge was also shortlisted for the prestigious BEA Awards in Italy under the Best Digital Activations category. As the new season kicks off, the challenge has already resumed: Zalgiris fans have claimed the first round. Who will be crowned the noisiest by the end of the season?
