BKT AND CURLING CANADA FORWARD TOGETHER UNTIL 2028
BKT — a leading manufacturer of Off-Highway tires — has officially renewed its partnership with Curling Canada, confirming its role as Title Sponsor for the 2027 World Men’s and 2028 World Women’s Curling Championships.
Saint John, November 13, 2025 – BKT continues to consolidate its global sporting presence by securing its position as the naming partner for the most prestigious curling events on the calendar. The championships will be held in Canada in 2027 and 2028, reinforcing a bond that has grown significantly over the years.
This renewal strengthens a collaboration with Curling Canada that began in 2020, when BKT debuted in the sport as co-Title Sponsor of the Continental Cup. By 2024, BKT had stepped up as the sole Title Sponsor of the World Men’s and Women’s Championships in Canada, engaging fans across cities like Sydney, Moose Jaw, and Calgary with dedicated on-site initiatives.
A NEW FORMAT ON THE WORLD STAGE
BKT will take center stage at the BKT World Men’s Curling Championship 2027 in Saint John, New Brunswick, followed by the BKT World Women’s Curling Championship 2028. The 2027 Men’s event, held from March 27 to April 4 at the TD Station, will mark a historic milestone as the first edition featuring a new format with 18 competing teams, including the host nation, Canada.
Through this partnership, BKT reaffirms its commitment to global sport — from football, rugby, and basketball in Europe to cricket in India and Australia, and Monster Jam in the United States. The goal remains constant: to promote sporting values, generate a positive local impact, and inspire future generations.
“For us, this is more than just a sponsorship; it is a long-term relationship built on trust, respect, and shared passion,” stated Lucia Salmaso, Managing Director of BKT Europe. “Curling reflects the core values of BKT: teamwork, integrity, and perseverance. We are proud to keep this spirit alive and continue aiming higher alongside World Curling and Curling Canada.”
Nolan Thiessen, CEO of Curling Canada, added: “Today is a day for celebration. We are incredibly grateful to our partners at World Curling and BKT for their continued faith in our ability to host world-class championship events.”
