There is no two without three… and the fourth speaks for itself. BKT — a leading manufacturer of Off-Highway tires and Title Sponsor of the Serie BKT for six years — recently organized a special day to celebrate the inauguration of the fourth winning project of Fattore Campo. This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative continues its mission to donate new sporting spaces to the cities that define the soul of the championship.

A GROWING COMMITMENT TO THE TERRITORY

Now in its fourth edition, Fattore Campo has become a pillar of the Italian football landscape. Following the upgrading of a pitch in Lecce, an inclusive park in Cosenza, and a calisthenics area in Como, the project has now arrived in Palermo. The brand new five-a-side football pitch at the Sperone district—located within the Valentina Renda sports complex—is a state-of-the-art facility featuring modern artificial turf, professional marking, and new goalposts, designed to serve the youth of the local community.

SOCIAL INTERACTION AND INCLUSION

Beyond urban regeneration, BKT aims to foster positive social change. In coordination with the Municipality of Palermo, the new field will be available for free use by surrounding schools during morning hours. This initiative aligns perfectly with the BKT mission: promoting inclusion, healthy lifestyles, and balanced growth through the power of sport.

CELEBRATING WITH THE COMMUNITY

To mark the inauguration, BKT organized an afternoon of festivities for the residents of Sperone, the young athletes of the Palermo FC football school, and the Rete SAI project. The event featured matches and skill games, supported by head teacher Antonella Di Bartolo. Adding to the excitement, Palermo FC stars Francesco Di Mariano and Manfredi Nespola attended to sign BKT footballs and meet with fans for a memorable experience.

A TRIBUTE TO THE LEGENDARY TOTÒ SCHILLACI

On the occasion of the match between Palermo and Salernitana, BKT and Palermo FC will honor the memory of the great Totò Schillaci. His commitment to providing sports centers for youngsters in challenging neighborhoods mirrors the vision of Fattore Campo. During the match, 50 guests from Rete SAI and the Sperone Institute will be in attendance, and the youngsters accompanying the players onto the pitch will wear a special number 19 shirt dedicated to the legendary striker.

OFFICIAL VOICES

The ribbon-cutting ceremony saw the participation of Lucia Salmaso (Managing Director of BKT Europe), Alessandro Anello (Councillor for Sport), and representatives from Palermo FC and Havas Play. The event was brilliantly facilitated by the comedian Stefano Piazza.

Lucia Salmaso, Managing Director of BKT Europe, stated: “The inauguration of this new Fattore Campo project confirms BKT’s concrete commitment to local communities. Our goal is to make sport accessible and inclusive for everyone, providing spaces for play, leisure, and growth.”
