BKT is the home of experimentation, adventure and innovation. Now, we know that actions speak louder than words - but we can attest to this by reflecting on our past journeys down untrodden paths. For example, we were the first company in India to explore the needs of the global automotive market. What’s more, over the years, we’ve undergone shifts from two wheeler tires to off highway tires, expansions from bias tires to radial tires and further expansion within each product category.
But how did this happen? Well, in the mid 1990s, our customer market research extended beyond our founding country. We explored international opportunities and began breaking boundaries within another range of products: industrial tires, agricultural tires and mining tires - all of which evolved into both bias and radial categories.
The decision to cater to international markets took us on an untrodden path on a fast track, which, on reflection, has proven to be our path to long-lasting success: the path of Off-Highway Tires!
