A simply extraordinary season. Andrea Adorante has been voted the best Serie BKT player in 2025/26, helping Venezia to victory in the championship and crowning a very special year.

Decisive goals, leadership and constant growth during the entire championship: the attacker’s output has been recognized by two prestigious individual awards, the MVP Trophy for the month of January and the Serie BKT MVP Trophy for 2025/26. Both awards were created by BKT, Title Sponsor of the competition, are officially recognized by Lega Serie B and were handed over to Adorante to confirm his decisive impact on the championship.

The prize, awarded based on the votes expressed by the journalists of DAZN, official broadcaster of the championship, Stats Perform and content creators TwoTwins, was handed over by Managing Director of BKT Europe Lucia Salmaso and President of Lega Serie B Paolo Bedin on the occasion of the team’s awards ceremony held in Venice in the splendid setting of Piazza San Marco on Saturday 9 May.

Under the guidance of head coach Giovanni Stroppa, Adorante has made a further breakthrough this season, becoming the ideal target man of a team capable of expressing effective, organized and constantly intensive football. The Opta data on the 2025/2026 league season confirm the high performance levels of the attacker in the green, orange and black shirt. Adorante is one of two players – considering both Serie A and Serie BKT – who have scored at least 15 goals in both of the last two seasons in these tournaments, along with Joel Pohjanpalo (another star of Serie BKT): 15 in 2024/25 and 17 in the current season, and is the only Italian to succeed in this, with a total of 32 goals. Among Italian footballers born after 1/01/2000, Adorante is currently the one who has been involved in the most goals in the five main European championships and respective second divisions: 18, consisting of 17 goals and one assist.

After a very thrilling league season, Serie BKT is now preparing to experience the excitement of the playoffs.
